Naturally weathered into grooves, many people have left small quartz pebbles there. This image was taken in 2002. The Megalithic Portal is currently (2011) leading an awareness campaign about leaving offerings at sites.
The anthropormorphic aspect isn't apparent from this angle, nor from the side. I found this side view online, hard to believe it's the same stone, but it is.
