Description Grid reference: SW793 606. Nearest village: Crantock. As I was locating the holy wells in and around Crantock, I discovered the Wayside Cross. There is an inscription behind the cross covered by undergrowth, saying it was restored in 1923.

Very nice shot. Stone crosses are difficult to date and on the Portal we only include those that were set up beforethe Norman Conquest. This one looks later to me, but am willing to be proven wrong.
