Description This is one of the stones of the circle I dowsed for at Cerrig Arthur whilst on holiday. These standing stones are I feel the centre of a 17 stone ring. Many are just sticking out the ground where others are grassy bumps. The dowsing produced a daisy like pattern and I think I sensed the site of a stone at each tip of the "petal" I think this requires further investigation.

I'd like to have a go at dowsing here one day, calcitestar. Could I park anywhere near this site? (I see there's a farm or small settlement not too far away on the map.) How did you get there?

Angie - you need to head up from the SE edge of Barmouth, parking along a long broad lane with fantastic views over the Mawdach Estuary, then a walk to east.

You can't drive up to Sylfaen (on OS map - see lime green icon), then? Do you mean the large P near the Panorama? Sure you mean 'east'?

You can drive very very near. We drove right up to the last farm in which the stones stand and parked just beside the road. If you go from the A496 in along the estuary just past the railway spanning it there is a small windy road leading to Bae Abermaw Hotel. Go up here and just keep going till you are about to enter a farmyard. There is a triangular piece of land on the left on which we parked with no problem. The stones are about 1/2 mile or so beyond. Have fun. The sheep were most amused at me walking in circles!
