Description This is one of the exhibits from the Latvian National History Museum. Notice the beautifully formed hole for the axe handle.

This museum has an excellent stone age section including a few exhibits for the blind. I was very excited to be able to feel a stone axe and fortunately was sensible and carefully tested the edge, which was very sharp. There were also pottery and cloth fragments that visitors were allowed to handle.
