Thanks for having a look at your archives and sharing these views. | Manja (2011-01-21) | I like your Infrared pictures a lot! Beautiful! Did you use a digital camera with infrared filter or an analogue camera? | rldixon (2011-01-21) | Thank you for your kind words about my photos
I use a converted Sigma SD10 digital SLR camera with usually a 72nm infrared filter on the lens
i converted the camera myself by removing the Infrared blocking filter (very easy to do on Sigma cameras)
and i expose manualy by expeirience
As the IR filter on the lens stops me viewing through the camera viewfinder i use a cheap external optical viefinder on the hot shoe to help frame the photos | rldixon (2011-01-21) | Whoops :-) i should have said these older photos were taken with an Olympus C4000z Digital compact camera on a tripod and an Infra red filter on the lens
i've had the sigma for only just over a year | Manja (2011-01-23) | Very nice. I've been thinking about having my "old" Nikon D70 converted to an infrared camera. But couldn't make my mind up yet since it is quite expensive. And I already can use it with a filter in front of the lens. I like the idea with the external viewfinder ... makes the focussing less fiddly, I guess. ;-) | rldixon (2011-01-23) | auto focus works OK on both cameras i use for Infrared |
