Sorry, I just saw your comment. I didn't mean to ignore you. Sorry! It is said that the Irish monk St Govan built this chapel in the 6th century. Actually the chapel is believed to be built in the 11th century. However, it is really ancient ;-) Have you been there? (Since you're writing in Welsh I suppose you live not too far away ;-)

St Gobhan (Govan) died in 586 AD and was the founder of a monastery at Dairinis-Insula, near Wexford, in c530 AD with dedication of churches at Portbraddan and Craigavon in Ireland. He was probably in Wales by the mid 6th century but we are not certain about just when he settled in Pembrokeshire, though he was by that time an elderly man. We are told he was a disciple of St David. St Govan's (Gobhan's) feastday is usually held on 26th March in Wales.
