'e' marks at least one cairn, this one aligning with midsummer sunset from the circle.
He made a long study of this site (which he prefers to call Hingston Hill), and the book contains many photographs, observations and explanations.
(It also features sections on Merrivale, Drizzlecombe and Stonehenge, and is one of the most easy-to-understand books I've read regarding ancient sites' sun alignments.)
Halsgrove, 2005.

JackME [Morris Eyton] and I met Jack Walker a few years ago and he took us to Drizzlecombe where he and JackME compared their ideas. (There's a photo of them both somewhere on Drizzlecombe site page.) |
