Very strong sunlight reflecting off the quartz and no zoom on that old camera!

*Or as the authors of Uriel's Machine tell us 'eight rectangular boxes with a line joining each corner to form a cross.' They think the pattern has links to the basic eight-year cycle of Venus. |
