Apparently never covered by a mound due to the steepness of the terrain, it would always have been a prominent site. |
| Posted Comments: AngieLake (2010-11-01) | Was this narrow, muddy, slippery path above a steep drop the only way to access this site? ;-) | DrewParsons (2010-11-01) | When I was there it was a fine day, the coastal track was not muddy and it was quite wide enough to easily get along once you stepped up onto it from the beach. However, you could take the narrower footpath from the church in town and turn off it to cut down through the bracken and heather which would avoid proximity to the cliff edge on the main trail, but I think would be a worse option. |
