In such as exposed location, it must be very difficult for the soil and turf to recover from the damage caused by visitors tracing the curves.

| Posted Comments: Runemage (2010-10-27) | Poor place, it needs a site guardian to care for it. Shame it can't be fenced off and restored/ left to recover and a replica built near it for people to use til then. It's in such a liminal spot, too.
The one in N Yorks is made from angled turf so it doesn't get boggy in wet weather, but it appears to be maintained, too. |
