Description HY 371306 On Rousay, this is the largest of the stalled cairns. It is nearly 107' long and 42' wide and contains and inner drystone structure encasing the chamber and an outer skin faced with coursed slabs in a herring-bone pattern. The chamber is 76' long x 7' wide and divided into 12 compartments of 2 opposing cells, 24 cells in all, by tall slabs. Most of the 12 cells on the eastern side have slab benches or platforms. The monument is now completely inside a modern shed and can be viewed from catwalks.
