It's a necropolis consisting of four tombs of Achaemenid kings - Darius I, Xerxes I, Artaxerxes I and Darius II. They were cut in 5th century BC. Near the tombs there are later inscriptions from period of Sassanid monarchy (photo taken on April 2007). |
