Porthmeor Circle also known as Treen Common. The site may be an elliptical embanked stone circle of 33 metre greater diameter or possibly an Iron Age settlement enclosure. The 14 uprights stand in a low bank of earth and rubble. |
|I'm fairly convinced that it's either a stone circle proper, or some sort of henge. Whatever, I stood at the centre of it about 18 months ago, and felt more power there than at any other ancient site in Cornwall. Or maybe it's just me! :o)|
