The back garden of the house is now part of the hillfort's rampart. At least they keep the lawn mowed. Even so, it's encroaching onto this import ancient site.

Is there a signboard saying who owns or manages the hillfort Sunny? If so, please get in touch and say you think an adjoining owner has encroached on their land. Sending a copy of this pic would be a good idea.

No there is no notice board saying who owns the land. When i went to look at the site, i enquired at Portfield farm a bit further along the lane. They said they didn't own the land. Apparently the people belonging to the house in the photo own the site. Their back garden is part of the low rampart. The people at the farm said that i would have to get permission to go onto the hillfort, but they doubted whether access would be given. However, they said that the landowners were out - i think they were dropping the hint to go onto the site quickly and take some photos - but don't linger too long. Thanks very much Runemage for your advice and interest. Cheers.
