Thanks to Cosmic for the right GPS datas. The circle is hard to find and we had a little adventure because i missed my cousins for a while. The information panel at the car park suggest a easy walk. Nevermind! We met a man at the car park, he was lost for 4 hours in that damned wood.

These are very narrow and hard to see even when you are looking along them. There is no question of going "cross-country" and simply heading for the circle because the trees are so closely planted that it is impossible to get between them.
The quickest and easiest approach is from the gate at the north-east corner but there is no good place to park and the occupiers of the house there are (allegedly) fed up with people parking inconsiderately. Once inside the wood, take the first path on your left (this junction is marked by reddish coloured ground) then after several hundred yards look for a path on your right: it is easy to miss, it is not much more than a rabbit track. then after a few hundred yards look for another even smaller path on your right, running less than 50 yards to the circle. |
