Penycloddiau Hillfort is to the south east, and Moel Hiraddug to the south west.
Some interpret cairns and burial locations as a way their creators would have defined their territory.
In this case, this is some statement. As Jez remarked when we were here "what a way to say, 'this is mine'".
The pitted top of The Gop is visible in the foreground; the undulations are largely due to stone-robbing from the cairn. |
