Description When departing the enclosure where the very large Trefignath Chambered Tomb lies, I could not help but notice an earthwork in immediately adjoining field. This is not far at all from the main chambers; just a short distance to the north west. There is an elevated circular feature, a short space, and then a curved earthwork which runs parallel to the the central mound. Having checked CARN and the guidebooks, there is nothing to report from them. The field is not is use, and given its proximity to the chambered tombs (remains of a round barrow, extended to a long barrow, and then an even longer barrow), this *could* be another barrow feature. Follow up research will be done.

Is the development in this field too? If so are they bull dozing or carrying out a dig?

Development is *not* in this immediate enclosure, but where you see cars in the above pic, that is the base of operations. A great big dumper truck would be to the right if this were of my visit yesterday.

If I hadn't seen your photos of the operations, I would have found it very difficult to believe that this beautiful landscape is being destroyed. Its very sad, but thanks for getting out there and letting us see the reality.
On a more positive note, the photos nudged me to look at the photos I took last year, and remember what a lovely place it is, and I found a bunch of Anglesey photos I hadn't got round to posting!
