Central part of a passage grave. Orientated approximately East-West. According to Sprockhoff it originally had 4 capstones, chamber measuring 7m x 3m (clear 6m x 2m). But as both orthostats on the short sides in the East and West are missing it is hard to determine the original structure with 100% certainty. 3 orthostats of the northern long-side and 4 of the southern long-side are preserved, all in situ. The entrance is situated between orthostats No. 3 and 4 in the South. The passage has preserved one pair of orthostats and the associated capstone. As a result of the destruction attempts including the removal of the drywalling and intermediate stones, the 3 remaining capstones are fallen into the chamber.
Translation of the site name "Teufelsbackofen" is "Devil's Oven". |
