It has a carving of the three Bronze Age stones (Harold's Stones) with an inscription MAIOR SAXIS 'greater because of its stones' and HIC FUIT VICTOR HARALDUS 'here Harold was victorious'. There is also an inscription recalling Tump Terret, a 20 foot high burial mound in the village. |
