yoni stone |
| Posted Comments: motist (2010-07-16) | Andy, this is Slide 39 to replace the missing one | Andy B (2010-07-21) | Thanks, wow - that looks like a 'yoni' stone if ever I saw one. (representation of female genitalia) | Sunny100 (2010-07-21) | There is a Yoni Stone at Utley near Keighley, W.Yorks. Carvings on the stone depict female genitalia. Not sure how old the stone is, could be a few hundred or even several hundred years. It stands near an Iron Age hut circle and two cairns. | Andy B (2010-07-21) | Sounds interesting, is this via Northern Ant / Brigantia? | Sunny100 (2010-07-21) | Yes, Brigantia (The Northern Antiquarian) - how did you guess! One or two other websites too. | Andy B (2010-07-22) | Can you post the links, thanks | Sunny100 (2010-07-22) | Besides the three Brigantia (Northern Ant) links there was one about a woman who went to lie on or by the Yoni Stone near Keighley, W.Yorks. She became pregnant shortly afterwards. Unfortunately I can't now locate the web link. I will keep trying though. | Sunny100 (2010-07-22) | The website I was looking for is "KEIGHLEY West Yorkshire". It is another of the Northern Antiquarian sites. This referrs to a woman who became pregnant after visiting the Yoni Stone. It goes on to say and I quote "her son, Janie, was born at Airedale Hospital, near Keighley, W.Yorkshire". | motist (2010-07-22) | sunny100 look at this link
