(2004-03-31) | We visited last summer, and some young archaeologists had built an amazing Iron Age round house in the garden you see there, just off on the grass to the left. They were busy carving domestic timber objects and had an impressive array of swords! I was very frustrated as I didn't have my camera with me and it was all pulled down the week after. | Thorgrim
(2004-03-31) | In the garden now, they have a full scale version of the Roman bucket-chain-water-lifting thing that was excavated ahead of new building work in the City (featured on television). Very impressive! |
