|Description ||This Monument in Bourgogne, Nièvre (58) has been classed as a Dolmen. The bottom half, consisting of at least to very large, ca 5 Meter b 5 meter stones, that were originaly one piece. is probably of natural origin in this location. The top stones might have been added later. A chamber of sorts has been added in the back, under the overhang.|
There is a bassin cut into the top stone while there are attempted cut marks at the oposite end.
The area is closed of to motor vehicles, so you will have to hike the 1.5 km from the parking area on the country road up the hill.
In early July, there are a lot of wild strawberries on the side of the road to make the trip more pleasurable.
Here the sacrifice bassin from a close up with my Blackberry as a comparison for size.
