(2004-07-07) | Yes, thats a bridge to the "upper chappel". Theres a hole in the rock thru which the sun shines on daybreak at summer solstices.
Officials says, that about 3,000 people normally here at summer solstice. But I think, that are more if weather is good. Last year, in 2003, when there where the solstice on a weekend, it was absolutely traffic chaos! Hundreds of people are drumming or blowing their didgeridoos. You can meet strange people or only snoopy people. It is a very peacefully celebration and the people have a lot of fun. There is a lot of police, red cross and civil defense/protection (Technisches Hilswerk).
