Ritual was lead by folklore group "Delve" and more than 100 local people enjoyed the event. Such Solstice "fire rituals" have become popular in Latvia during last years. While the very Solstices are celebrated with singing, dancing and playing all the night and celebration finishes with greeting the Sun at sunrise only, these rituals are usually only few hours long and can be regarded as some "introduction" or "preparation" a day or two before the real event.
