An illustration of 'The Budvoc Stone' (Maen y Dythyrog). It is 4 foot high and dates from the 5th century. The Latin inscription says: BUDVOC. HIC IACIT/FILIUS CATOTIGIRNI/PRONEPVS ETERNALI/VENDOMAV and when translated 'The Stone of Budvoc. Here he lies, son of Catotigirnus and great grandson of Eternalis Vendomavus'. The stone was brought to the museam from a hill some 2 miles away.
