The two “x” mark the ends of the remains of this large chambered and kerbed long-barrow measuring 48m by 7m . The chamber was located near the centre (marked with “C”).
To get an impression how the site originally looked compare with similar sites in Germany and Denmark in better condition. For example: Kleinenkneter Steine , Karlsminde , Grønsalen
While the earthwork of the western part is comparatively well preserved the eastern part is more disturbed. This probably happened when the stones of the chamber were extracted. Only two enclosure stones survived, but they are overgrown nowadays and I only was able to locate one. June 2010
