Description Excavated small round barrow viewed from above. Earthwork removed, kerb-stones exposed. Very small cist at centre. Another burial visible above right: small cist without capstone. June 2010

Thanks for your delightful comment. The site is situated in a small patch of heathland. Picture was taken on an early springtime morning, but the climate already was extremely oppressive. During the almost sunless day thunderstorms gathered, but luckily did not start until the evening.
