|Description || Broad Down dominates the view ahead when walking up the East Dart River valley.|
It's only about a mile from Postbridge, though a fairly steep climb, and walking boots advisable. Crossing the tributary stream might need some waterproof shoes as it's a big boggy there, but I found a dry way around it by going up around the wet bits. Otherwise, stepping stones provide access for those with better balance than me!
| The upper arc of Broadun's circular enclosure is just visible on the far left of the hill, while Broadun Ring can just be seen as a narrow oval shape in the middle, just below the sunnier summit. (It's not as narrow as it appears here.)|
| This looks quite idylic Angie, love the wonky gate ;)|
| Hi Mike. Yes, I had to look twice myself, but the trees are straight and the hill summit's level, ha!ha! ;-) (You'd think it would be awkward to open, but it wasn't!) It was such a lovely area to walk in, as is most of Dartmoor. Just a bonus that there were some new sites to visit, too.|
