Apparently the stones had fallen and were set up this way in the 19th or 20th century. Comments anyone? |
| Posted Comments: silky666 (2004-06-17) | has anyone heard of any connection between the stones and the montauk project | PeterCrump (2004-09-05) | My second thought on seeing Men-an-Tol was that it looked like a hoax! (My first was the thrill of discovery and the beauty all around). The arrangement just doesn't feel right, though. It's really a stone circle, but the "entrance stone" in the centre is illogical. While most megaliths are mysterious, they always feel purposeful on some level. Men-an-Tol is attractive, but doesn't look terribly useful! |
