Mount Stuart on the Isle of Bute
This is were I work as a Tour Guide, it is the home of the Stuarts of Bute. The present head of the Bute family, 7th Marquess of Bute other-wise known as Jonny Dumfries or Jonny Bute. The sandstone part of the house was built in the Gothic style in 1878 after a fire burnt down the first house in 1877 which was built in a more formal Georgian style. You can see the remains here which is the white rough cast south end of the building which dates back to 1716. There isnt much I cant tell you about this house so feel free to ask |
