It is about the size of a small kitchen table, approx 4 feet across, with what looks like a ditch surrounding it. At first I though it may be just sheep type erosion, but the ditch is completely grass covered and not worn at all, unlike the usual muddy tracks made by Shawn and co. |
| Posted Comments: cerrig (2010-02-01) | I've been back to this stone for another look, this time in the daylight. There is a definite banking around the ditch.Could this be the smallest Henge type? construction there is,being no more than 12 feet in diameter. It really does have a "Megalithic" feel to it.I've never seen anything like it ,anywhere else, so I'm calling it a Carbuncle Henge unless someone has a better name for it. Any reasonable suggestions accepted for consideration. |
