Description Looking past the Southern cairn to the central Beacons. This is also the best view of me, in my Scott of the Antarctic pose.

There is a local legend about a "Wild Man" who walks the Fans.

I've seen him, but I've always been too out of breath to shout a hello

.. or saving your breath for a quick getaway? ;-)
PS: There must be a good name for a 'Man who walks the Fans'....?

I suggest 'The Shadow of the Fan' or 'Fan Shadow', but in the Welsh translation. What would that be in Welsh, Cerrig? (any more than 285 letters would be unacceptable).

A good short English translation would be "Sem", but who would want a name like that,no wonder he's wild.

Of course! Why didn't I think of that before? He's a fan of the Fans, especially one Fan!

Fandangogogogoch.

Not to be confused with the dolmen Pentre Ifandango.
