Ruined remains of a chamber on the more eastern end of the huge long barrow mound, and what appears as quarrying / robbing damage on the north side of the eastern end.
Advanced twilight by the time we got here (having watched sunset from the Long Stone just across the road) so very dark and use of flash imperative (also indicative that we weren't trying to conceal our visit). |
