There are stopping places,but choose carefully as it is further across the heather than you think. It can be very boggy in the spring. The stone is about 10ft tall. The silence here is most wonderful,there is absolutely nothing to break it but the occasional buzzard. I was called away by the distant and unmistakable call of a fine malt,so I went off to find it. |
