A triple cluster of rock outcrops! In the west, the Bride Stones, to the
east the Little Bride Stones and the Great Bride Stones sit between them.
Local folklore indicates veneration of the outcrop and more recently the
stones have become the site of wedding ceremonies.
The 'Bride' herself is a fantastically shaped stone, fourteen feet high,
nine feet across at the top, tapering to two feet wide at the base! The 'Groom' now fallen beside her. |
