Description Looking West towards Ettrick Bay. In the field to the left of the B875, there is a stone circle of seven stones the tallest being about 7ft. The smallest is about 12 " probably due to being damaged. I believe that there are several stones missing. There is also the remains of a wooded glade that once enclosed the circle. There is a wall made of local stone, but whether it is of neolithic age and not circa 1950 I'm not too sure. This is a place of great importance to me so I will be doing a bit more research to find out. This wall goes completly around the outside of the trees and stone circle. It stands about 3ft high and the whole sight is protected by a fence to keep cattle out.

The darker tones really add to the atmosphere. You can always lighten it after scanning using your photo editing software.

Yup, it's a good one. Try setting your scanner to sharpen automatically as it scans too - that's what digital cameras do as part of their processing.
