| Posted Comments: geoff2007bryant (2008-08-07) | The photograph does not show a stone row but a reave, this is a late Bronze Age land division which usually has a number of smaller walls/banks running from it. For refs see Flemming, A. 1988. The Dartmoor Reaves. Windgather Press. | thecaptain (2008-08-08) | I think you will find that there is indeed a prehistoric stone row here, which has had a much more recent bank and wall built along the line of it. Many of the stones of the original stone row can be seen still, evenly spaced along the line of the wall, many of which can be seen in this picture to the right of the bank. |
