'Spitzen Berg' are the remains of three megalithic tombs.
Tomb No. 2 is located just 100m west of the easily spotted
hilltop. Same as tomb No. 3, you can only reach
it if you can walk over the fields.
Schadewohl 2 (or Tomb 38 according to the official book
'Großsteingräber in der Altmark') is an Extended Dolmen
with four pairs of uprights on the long sides, and a single
stone on the short. Chamber size 5.7m x 1.5m.
Two capstones are still there, but broken and shifted out of place.
One of the capstones is littered with cup marks.
There are no remains of an enclosure. |
