My GRANT ancestors are from "Tullochgorum", Boat O'Garten, Invernessshire, Scotland - eg the Reverend James GRANT was born there, probably in the 1760s or earlier. He married at Nairn, Scotland, 11 November 1785.

Hello! Today I shared some lyrics from The Reel of Tullochgorum on an internet discuss group. Here in USA we just saw GWBush become re_elected. A wierd comic book reality today in california. Then a google brings me to you. I am in USA born abroad to Americans. I feel more at home in deep rural, once had goats and chickens, and survival in the country is a forte. Our govt. is a mess. I know Scotland's known hard times. One of my discussion groups was talking about John Knox today, and I responded with lyrics to Tullochgorum. I wish I could visit Scotland. Our country is lovely...California is my only home, we grow much of the world's food here, and we have all nations uniting...attempting peace. You can visit me at www.geocities.com/mountainpalace. I am a gardener, artist and naturalist working with my hands. Thank you for the photo, and for helping me understand Tullochgorum. Peace. Lani Lila in Chico, CA. USA mountainpalace@yahoo.com
