(2010-03-10) | The gap in the barrow was created when the site was restored. The aim was to show some construction details of the chamber and to get some light into the chamber to ease visits for people who left their torch at home. So what we see in this picture is partly not prehistoric. Especially the boulders used for walling the gap are 20th century. |
