At the foot of the hill of " Serre de Bouisset " which wears in its summit the age of the Copper necropolis of " Serre de Bouisset" and going away eastward, is the megalithic site of the Plain of Bouisset.
There are in this place 2 dolmens and 6 cists.
The dolmen 1 is ruined enough but very recognizable with a raised stone and many of big fragments on the tumulus. In the same tumulus is another little smaller grave and which is maybe a posterior grave (unless the tumulus counted 2 dolmens).
Not far from there, one will see the dolmen 2 which is a passage tomb dolmen in good condition of conservation. A beautiful dry stone passage leads to the cella of the dolmen. The capstone disappeared but the paving stone of entrance is always in place (stone cut with care).
In the same sector, a big tumulus contains 6 small graves certainly more recent than two dolmens but all the same of prehistoric age. |
