Andy...I plan to be one of the weirdos soon. | nicoladidsbury (2005-01-17) | People and stones, its a strange thing.
As a person, I want to be next to the stones, to see if I feel anything, to see if I can get in touch.
As a photographer, I want only the stones to myself, emptiness and peace.
I felt an alienation from the stones at Stonehenge, as I was one of the tourists, herded around the edge, and unable to approach them.
I can understand the need of these people to get up close on the one the one day when it is allowed. I would love to be one of these wierdos! One day....... | AngieLake (2005-01-18) | Try to get in there on a 'private access' visit Nicola. You would have it all to yourself then. My Cumbrian friend invited me to join him, and it was a fantastic experience. I have also been to the summer Solstice, 2001, and that was incredible too, but different. Thrilling being part of that crowd as the sun rose! |
