Brocktorff Circle it is now the second documented example of an hypogeum under a temple (the other being the gob-smacking Hypogeum of Hal Saflieni which is unmissable for any visitor – be sure to book your ticket before you arrive on Malta to avoid disappointment).
The fact that there are two examples of Temple/Hypogeum complexes raises the exciting possibility that more hypogeum could be found under extant temples. |
