(2004-10-20) | I believe this is one of the two small outbuildings to the west of the main temple. It is doubtful whether they could be considered dwellings in the accepted sense. They were more likely store rooms or even for more arcane purposes. One of them had red painted plaster clinging to its wall when exposed and its floor was completely covered in ochre. | I.Flores Martin
(2005-05-23) | Those are the shrines built during the Red Skorba phase, the oldest free standing buildings in Malta.... or the world for that matter. (info obtained from "Skorba" by D.H. Trump)
Funnily enough, the temple itself is surrounded by a fence, while these remain totally unprotected !!! |
