Contact them for permission to reproduce it. |  | | Description | This sketch of a pair of curly-tailed beasts similar to those at Mellor is of a hogback at Tyninghame about 20miles east of Edinburgh. It was suggested (in 1959) that the Tyninghame beasts represented the Norse legend of Skol and Hati, wolves that stalked the sun and moon to destruction and eventual apocalypse. Nice thought, but why are these beasties in Mellor? |
