|Description ||With the aid of Paul & Vicky's "Rock Around the Peak" (still unbeatable for THE Peak District megalithic handbook), I made a determined search for this circle last Saturday.|
Basically, as you head north from the Nine Ladies along the more easterly of the routes, keep your eye open for the first field opening up to the east. Stanton Moor 1 is very close to its perimeter. If you can find Stanton Moor 3 in the other direction from Nine Ladies, then you have a good idea what to look for here.
The two entrances are strikingly clear, and a large apparently robbed out central area too.
I've looked for lesser remains than this and been pleased, so I would say this is worth looking out for. Just pleased to have found it with a determined search after years of half hearted rushed searching!
