This amazing location, I first noted on our holiday to Cornwall in 2002; we left The Eden Project at closing time, and were directed out a different way, and found ourselves trying to orient our journey back in the correct direction; in so doing, we came along the road nearest this rock outcrop, and I saw it against the lowering sun. Woooo.... Two tired kids meant that we could not stop at the time - so I resolved to find out more, and visit on another occasion. We came here in April 2003 - and it is such a heady location. Amazing. The top of the rock can be reached, with some risk, up a metal ladder, through the interior of the chapel remains. If you like earth mysteries, and special-feeling places, this must be one for you. Some rocks on the way up also seem wanting to be standing stones! |
