An awesome chamber; worth the visit. Worthy of many Welsh dolmens!

I found this site whilst researching ley lines. The map I was using had no refernce to any of the many stone sites across Dorset. Following up on some earlier reading, I found that by running straight lines through church sites marked on the map that the lines all converged at one point. A visit to the place on the map brought me the the Hell Stone! Since finding the Hell Stone some 6 years ago, I can't help myself from returning on a regular basis.

Whilst out searching the stone circle at Rempstone for the first time a few months back I took a few photographs with one of those throw away cameras. I spent a couple hours with the stones and took advantage of the 'Magic Mushrooms' on offer amongst the stones. My plan for the rest of the day was to head back home, (Dorchester) for a bite to eat and then on to Chesil beach to look for a stone with a hole in it. I had read the night before that 'Holey' stones were good for healing work, another interest of mine. After lunch I headed off in the direction of 'Nine Stones' but, as I approached Winterbourne Abbas I found myself arguing with myself. A little voice was telling me to go to the Hell Stone. This annoyed me as I was looking forward to a walk on the beach, it was a lovely day! Before I knew it, I was on the familiar road heading in the direction of Portesham. As I approached the Hell Stone I felt a strong urge to go straigh inside the monument. There on the floor was a large stone with a naturally worn hole going right through the middle. I've been to Chesil since and I'm still looking !!

The photographs taken at Rempstone in the story above show what some would describe as an orb. I am open to any suggestion. Do any of you folk have any such pictures to compare? You can contact me at mikecroley@tiscali.co.uk. Cheers!
