Description Site in Bohuslän, Sweden: Three lure blowers overlapping boats at rock art panel Tanum T-248 (like most others not prepared for regular tourist visits).

To ease the visibility of the carvings at some exposed tourist sites these are often painted red. In fact most panels are unpainted like this one.

It must have been an enormous physical effort to carve these pictures into this hard granite surfaces. The bronze age people used glacier-smoothed rock surfaces.

Acid rain causes serious damages nowadays (September 1993).
