Normally very boggy (as its name means in Welsh), the current cold spell has made even the mud walkable on!
This picture, taken 10 Jan 09, reminded me of mountainman's recent comments (in a forum near you!) about moving stones from here to Stonehenge over the ice & snow.
It may not have worked over grass a couple of years ago, but given a run of harsh winters, I can see it being a different prospect. |

(2012-04-29) | Update - it was perishing when we visited this site on Thursday evening! Could have been mid-winter, and the ground quite like this without the ice. |
